This is an ongoing series of luncheon meetings for IT professionals who work in our area. We want to help create a sense of "community" among IT professionals who are already here - to share ideas, problems, and learnings - and to help recruit new IT professionals and suppliers to our area.

As always, the main objective is for you meet others in your profession and learn information that is useful to you and your business.

Speaker: Christopher Scott
Supervisor for Mobile FBI’s Counter Intelligence & Cyber Squad.

"The FBI is the lead agency for exposing, preventing, and investigating intelligence activities on U.S. soil. It’s our second highest priority because foreign espionage strikes at the heart of our national security—impacting our political, military, and economic strengths. Learn more here about our proactive national initiatives.

"The FBI's cyber mission is four-fold: first and foremost, to stop those behind the most serious computer intrusions and the spread of malicious code; second, to identify and thwart online sexual predators who use the Internet to meet and exploit children and to produce, possess, or share child pornography; third, to counteract operations that target U.S. intellectual property, endangering our national security and competitiveness; and fourth, to dismantle national and transnational organized criminal enterprises engaging in Internet fraud. Pursuant to the National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace signed by the President, the Department of Justice and the FBI lead the national effort to investigate and prosecute cybercrime."
