This is an ongoing series of luncheon meetings for IT professionals who work in our area. We want to help create a sense of "community" among IT professionals who are already here - to share ideas, problems, and learnings - and to help recruit new IT professionals and suppliers to our area.

As always, the main objective is for you meet others in your profession and learn information that is useful to you and your business.

Aaron Edwards will be our June 26th Technology Council speaker. He started with Verizon Wireless a year ago. He is currently the Business Sales Manager for Baldwin County east to Walton County, FL. He has been in wireless industry for 6+ years.

He will speak on Hurricane Preparedness and the wireless industry.

Specifically, he will discuss improvements made in communications technology in the last 5-10 years which help networks weather the storms.

He'll talk about what the industry does before, during and after a storm and what businesses and consumers can do to be prepared and to help after landfall. He will also be talking about the next advance in network technology, the LTE network (also sometimes called the 4G network).

Reserve your seat by calling the Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber at 251-968-6902 by noon on the day prior to the meeting. The cost is $12: Pay at the Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber, by phone, or at the door. VISA and M/C are accepted in advance. Only checks or cash at the door, please. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or you will be invoiced for your commitment!
